APICS Atlanta’s Mission Statement is comprised of the following Four Pillars:
1. Education: The Chapter provides training and education by offering Principles of Operations Management classes, Certification review workshops, and other learning opportunities.
2. Continuous Learning: The Chapter provides educational opportunities to our members, non-members and partner companies enabling them to increase their knowledge about existing and emerging trends in Operations and Supply Chain Management. This will be accomplished by providing professional dinner meetings, plant tours, seminars, roundtables, access to other organizations with complimentary interests, newsletters, and other tools and offerings.
3. Career & Employer Services: The Chapter provides the opportunity for local organizations to seek and find highly qualified candidates to fill their needs using our Career Center and other resources available. The Chapter will also give individuals seeking new and better opportunities the skills necessary to help them achieve success.
4. Community Engagement: The chapter provides service to our community and contributions to the success of local industry. We promote awareness of best practices, learning opportunities, and APICS resources to the Metro Atlanta business community. We provide thought leadership for the Operations and Supply Chain Management industries to help bolster local organizational success. We contribute to our community by participating in and sponsoring events that improve the social welfare of our local market.
